Joe DiPietro: Fucking Men
Following sell-out success after critical acclaim, Fucking Men, the free-wheeling comedy of sexual manners written by Joe DiPietro and directed by Phil Willmott has announced a second extension to its run at The King’s Head, Islington making it Off West End’s longest running production.

Originally intended for a three week run, this sexy, controversial, critically acclaimed comedy has continuously played to packed houses, in The Kings Head’s late night slot, since January. A new booking period (until 6 June 2009) will make it London’s longest running Off West End hit.

Author Joe DiPietro also holds the record for Off-Broadway's longest running show, as lyricist for the heterosexual relationship musical I Love you Your Perfect Now Change. His new musical Toxic Avenger opens Off-Broadway this month.

Originally attracting audiences with its provocative title and marketing, Fucking Men recently went on to win a whole new audience when critics acknowledged it as a thoughtful, intelligent take on sexual politics in a raft of enthusiastic reviews.

Since January, Joe DiPietro’s fearless dissection and shameless celebration of homosexuality, in this free-wheeling contemporary version of La Ronde, has proved it can fascinate male and female audiences of every sexual persuasion.

Set in today’s America, this insightful drama looks at a succession of couples and strangers as they negotiate the before and after of lust, love and betrayal and the pursuit of gay sex. Some stories are poignant, some hilarious but collectively they provide a fascinating snap shot of the American male in pursuit of man-on-man action.

The 90 minute production is staged by the multi-award winning director Phil Willmott, based on his original 2008 presentation at the Finborough Theatre and produced by The King's Head in association with The Steam Industry.

Cast includes Stephen Billington, Matthew Clancy, Dan Ford, Morgan James, Shai Matheson, James Kristian, Timothy Lone, Patrick Poletti, Chris Polick and Adam Unze.
